Breaking barriers is nothing new for WGN's first female sports anchor. Lauren Magiera has paved the way for women in sports reporting throughout her 13-year career. 

Kim Foxx heads the second largest prosecutor's office in the country, and is the first African American woman to lead the Cook County State's Attorneys office.

Christine Schiefer co-hosts the paranormal and true crime podcast "And That's Why We Drink." She was previously in the TV writing industry but started the podcast two years ago. With over 45,000 followers on Instagram, she has also become a social media influencer which she says has been an adjustment.
